Estimates
Estimates are free and valid for 30 days. An estimate reflects the conditions visible at the time it was prepared. If conditions behind a wall or ceiling differ materially once work begins, we will stop, document what we found, and provide a written change before continuing.
Scheduling
We schedule work in the order it is confirmed. Drywall finishing depends on compound dry time, which is affected by humidity and temperature; we build that into schedules rather than compressing coats. If weather or an unforeseen condition moves your date, we'll tell you as soon as we know.
Access and site conditions
We ask that the work area be reasonably clear and that we have access during agreed hours. Where a room cannot be cleared, we will protect contents in place. Please tell us in advance about pets, security systems, or areas of the home you'd like left undisturbed.
Payment
Repair work is typically invoiced on completion. Larger projects are scheduled with a deposit and progress draws stated in the estimate. Invoices are due within 15 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Workmanship warranty
We warrant our workmanship for one year from completion. That covers failures in our taping, finishing, and installation. It does not cover damage from structural or foundation movement, water intrusion from a source outside our scope, impact damage, or normal settlement cracking in a new home's first heating season, though we'll always come look and tell you honestly which one it is.
What's outside our scope
Unless it is written into your estimate, our work does not include painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing corrections, mold remediation, or asbestos abatement. We'll tell you when one of those is needed and can usually recommend someone.
Insurance and licensing
We carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage. A certificate of insurance is available on request before work begins.
Cancellation
You may cancel or reschedule at no charge with 48 hours' notice. Materials already purchased and specifically ordered for your project remain billable.
